  My husband and I just completed the Rapid River trip, our second rafting experience with this company. Both times we were greeted by friendly, knowledgeable and understanding staff. The guides are extremely personable and considerate, even under austere conditions. We have had so much fun each time and are looking forward to the sled dog experience in the winter.

• Review of "Bryant Funeral Home" at Gorham

  My sister Lynn and I had discussed in the past week what arrangements we wanted for our brother Jim Andrews. She being in Gorham went to Bryant’s to finalize the plans. She was immediately talked out of what we wanted. We did not want a public viewing. It was suppose to be on Wednesday morning for family and a select few friends. Then the funeral that afternoon. Ed informed her she needed to do otherwise due to the influx of calls regarding the arrangements. With public posts on social media, she was guilted to change our plans. During this time with Ed, my travel situation was not given a second thought. When I was informed of all the changes Ed wanted to do I called Ed within the hour, to explain my situation. He told me basically it’s too late to change anything. This is not good customer service. My brother and mom and dad would be highly upset knowing that it was no big deal I wouldn’t be able to attend. Funeral homes are a business. Period. It’s about pomp and circumstance and money. So while my brother is being rememberd I’m forced to stay in NC. I was not given the travel time I needed to attend. Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it Sheila Andrews Swaney

  As someone who has been rafting several times this trip was an absolute disappointment. I brought along my wife whom had never been before so we picked the easier trip, well I didn't know that meant a 1hour bus ride and 45 minutes on the river, that is an absolute rip off. We drove 4.5 hours for this adventure and were completely let down. The games the guides had us play at the end was the only fun part of the whole trip. Also when preparing to enteer the river the guide approached the safety talk as if we were being punished and forced to be there, rude, jerk until of course it was time to collect a tip. This was an extremely poor experience and I wish I booked with any other company over this joke. BEWARE
